Argonaut Manufacturing Services Expands Manufacturing Partnerships with Rare Disease Organizations
CARLSBAD, CA March 08, 2023— Argonaut Manufacturing Services, a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) serving the biopharma, life science, and molecular diagnostics industries, announced that it has signed drug product manufacturing agreements with three clients, each of whom is developing individualized therapies for rare genetic diseases. The new manufacturing agreements focus on utilizing Argonaut’s state-of-the-art isolator-based fill-finish platform to create smaller individualized drug product batches for a single patient.
These agreements expand on Argonaut’s existing partnership signed in February, 2022 with the n-Lorem Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing individualized treatments for patients with nano-rare genetic diseases affecting <30 patients globally.
Argonaut is providing its manufacturing, quality, and regulatory expertise to support the unique requirements of these programs, including the need for high yield of extremely small batches, which are often less than 500 vials. Argonaut’s experience and partnerships in this space enable low risk, high flexibility, and quick delivery to support single-patient clinical trials.
